Measures Library

The Measures Library includes over 40 scales that have been developed to measure people’s attitudes, beliefs, motivations, and other psychological constructs related to the consumption of plant-based and animal-derived products, vegetarianism, veganism, and non-human animals. The library is not exhaustive and will be updated in the future.

The Measures Library is meant as a resource for researchers who would like to conduct research in this area. The scales are in the public domain, which assumes that one can use them without asking permission and without paying a fee.

Feel free to contact us if you have any suggestions for changes to the file. If you have suggestions for adding other relevant scales, please email us the details of the scale in a word file, including the following information (see measures library for examples): scale name, full reference of the original publication of the scale, instructions for respondents, response scale, list of all items, and scoring instructions if relevant (e.g., indicating sub dimensions, reverse scored items).
